Ray Roberson founded Roberson Air Conditioning in November 1991 as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran with a clear purpose. He built the business on honesty, integrity, craftsmanship, and a genuine curiosity for solving comfort problems the right way. What started as a one-truck operation quickly earned the trust of families in Wharton, El Campo, and the surrounding rural communities. That growth happened through word of mouth and results, not advertising.
Over the years, Ray’s sons Michael, Joe, and Jacob joined the company and carried that same standard forward. They helped the business grow without sacrificing the values that built it. Today, Roberson Air Conditioning remains family-owned and veteran-owned, with more than 30 years of continuous service to Wharton County. Our slogan says it directly: “We’ve Been Here & We’ll Be Here.” That is not a tagline. It is a promise backed by three decades of follow-through.

Roberson Air Conditioning has earned recognition from both our community and the industry. We have been named Best of Wharton County in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, received the Wharton Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year award in 2022, and earned Nextdoor Neighborhood Fave honors in 2022, 2024, and 2025. We hold manufacturer certifications as an LG Pro Dealer, CCE Dealer with Coleman, and ACCA Energy Star Certified Installer. Our NATE-certified technicians are among the most qualified professionals in the region.
Our community involvement is equally deep. We have been members of the Wharton Chamber of Commerce since 1999, the El Campo and East Bernard Chambers since 2019, and ASHRAE and ACCA since 2020. We actively support the Lions Club, Rotary Club, and The Plaza Theatre. We are not just a business operating in this community. We are genuinely part of it.
